As a truly "outside the box" concept, our 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom design is approximately 950 square feet and features an interior courtyard within a hexagonal floor plan. This extraordinary shape emulates the structure of a honeycomb, strategically chosen for the hexagon's ability to minimize surface area while maximizing inner volume. The inner courtyard will be filled with greenery and our large folding doors can be opened to bring fresh air into the home and open the living space up to the outdoors. By utilizing passive heating and cooling elements, smart energy monitoring technology, and innovative water usage, daily consumption is reduced, decreasing costs while increasing resident comfort.

As 1 in 10 Inland Empire residents face food insecurity, we hope to reduce this number by adding a homegrown garden which will use smart watering technology and grant easy access to healthy foods.
Promoting Mental & Physical Health
We understand the importance of integrating green spaces & natural sunlight within a home. We are promoting these elements by designing an open floorplan that works to create a calming ambiance.
Lowering Greenhouse Gas Emissions & Water Waste
We are utilizing energy-efficient lightbulbs and appliances throughout the home to lower greenhouse gas emissions and reduce water waste. To further lessen water waste, we are implementing greywater usage.
Fighting Smog Pollution
According to the American Lung Association, the Inland Empire is ranked first in the U.S. for smog pollution. We are promoting healthy living by
using 100% solar energy, including
greenery in the home, and utilizing energy-reducing
passive cooling systems.
